Campaign optimization in no-goal campaigns

Justin Sardi: All right. What’s up, everybody? I just want to show you how you can actually use campaign goals on no-goal campaigns. Over here, I am in one of my campaigns. Here’s my campaign. I’m in it. We’re good to go. I’ll select the ad group right here. It’s a placement campaign. I’m split-testing these two. I actually chose the wrong campaign, but whatever. It doesn’t matter. I’m split-testing these two ads, whatever. If you come over here to more details… And I actually just go to all ad groups. I go to more details. I can go to edit settings. Now, again, this is a no-goal campaign. You can see no marketing objective set. We are running multi-format ads. I would probably turn that off. This was new. You would’ve to turn that off. But it’s going to show shorts, all that stuff.

If we look over here… So we’ve got target cost per view. If we come over here to additional settings, we’ve got goals. Do I want to use specific goals? Do I want to use account goal settings, or do I want to choose specific campaign goals? Now, these are my custom goals over here. I can come over. I could be like, “Hey, I want to optimize for video add vault and TubeSift sale.” I can just save that. Now, what this is going to do… And obviously, I don’t want to do that. I probably want to do my high ticket funnel because that’s what this one is. Right here. Here’s my conversion actions. I can see them. Boom! Click that. There. That is a custom goal. I would save this.

Now, this campaign is going to… We’re still going to have to do the manual optimization where we’re going through and figuring out exactly which placements are going, all that stuff, adjusting our cost per view on the placements/doing that because it’s not going to select the marketing objective for us. But we are able to use this goal to drive our campaign’s performance.

Maximizing Placement Targeting

It’s going to manually do some optimization behind the scenes if we choose this goal. I just wanted to throw that out there. Show everybody how that works. Obviously, you can use TubeSift with this because that is a placement campaign. You can come over here. You can use TubeSift. You can search for your video placements, like how to run YouTube ads, if I could spell that right. I should probably fix that. There we go. You can then target these placements very easily using TubeSift and plugging them into your campaign over here in your content. Again, I’m not going to say this because I don’t want to mess anything up, but here’s all the placements we’re targeting. I can just edit the content. I can choose this. I can come in, and I can just add a bunch more placements right here.

I’m able to target placements using a goal right now in 2024. I just wanted to run you through that. Show you exactly how it’s done. That is it for me on this video. Hopefully, you enjoyed it. As always, you can check out TubeSift below this video, www.tubesift.com. You can use keyword and placement targeting using our tool. You can select goals. Pretty cool stuff. Love how that works. I just wanted to throw that out there because a lot of people don’t know about that. Hopefully, that was helpful for you. That’s it for me on this one. Bye for now.
